Rain gauge
La Crosse Technology products that include rainfall tracking include a rain gauge. The legacy product had an outdated aesthetic and had some usability challenges.
This product needs to be easy to clean, mount, and level. It runs on AA batteries for convenience and longevity.
I was the lead designer on this project at La Crosse Technology and I worked closely with our Design manager, company owner, and call center to ensure this product was successful. Functionality, aesthetics, water resistance, durability, adaptability, and value were top priorities.
I worked closely with our Chinese partners to ensure this product would be functional, reliable, and efficient to manufacture.
